Four French police officers were arrested after beating and insulting a black man in Paris. The incident shocked public opinion and President Emmanuel Macron was shocked by what happened in the French capital.

The victim, by name Michel Zecler, who works as a music producer, says that on November 21 he went out on the street without a mask. He saw a police patrol approaching and immediately entered his office for fear of being fined. The man says so agents forcibly penetrated him and beat him.

Zecler said he had filed a complaint with the National Police Inspectorate General. A source close to the case told France Presse, quoted by Agerpres, that four police officers had been suspended in connection with the case.
According to government sources cited by AFP, President Macron met with Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin on Thursday and asked him to impose very clear sanctions against the police officers involved. The minister then announced that he would ask for the four to be suspended
