Fitness programs with artificial intelligence and blockchains for Dubai

A pair of Dubai-based fitness and technology companies have come together to offer what they are billing as the first artificial intelligence and blockchain-powered fitness programs and facilities.

As part of the partnership, Centrigent's technology company and Fit Box Group – a fitness provider specializing in boxing and mixed martial arts – will work together to develop what they have called a "digital fitness market" that provides personalized and safe training experiences on all the gym networks.

Speaking with Arabian Business on Sunday, Centrigent's CEO, Jay Srage, said that, from a consumer perspective, the main advantage of using AI technology and blockchain is that it will allow them to receive personalized fitness advice that they can be continued in other gyms of a network and with unknown coaches.

"We're Uber-doing the fitness industry," he said. "As a client and as an athlete, even if you're using the same gym pass [in different locations], none of the trainers knows your story or your story. "

AI technology, he said, can use a specific individual's fitness history, health parameters and previous training history to help create and recommend a future training program.

"Technology can use your data and those of other people, such as what a similar person did and worked for them, to get the best training program in the future," he explained. "The blockchain part gives accessibility safely through an entire ecosystem of training centers."

As an example of how he sees the system working, Srage has indicated business travelers who want to exercise while they are away from home.

"We see you're here in Dubai and you fly to Riyadh, if you're on a business trip and you get a personal trainer, you need to explain what you want and what needs to be done, they usually want you to do their own thing," he said . "But with the platform, they can enter their name and see what you've done." "It's circumscription and continuity."

Furthermore, Srage has stated that he believes that the use of artificial intelligence and blockchain in the fitness industry is a natural progression of technology, which is already used in healthcare and other sectors.

"We are at a turning point in terms of digitization in various industries, and all of these technologies are starting to have an impact on traditional or legacy industries," he said. "Now it is starting to allow other operators in the sector, who have to implement these digital strategies".

For Fit Box Group, which has two gyms and a promotion company in Dubai and plans to expand in Saudi Arabia next year, the technology is used to act as a "differentiator" with other fitness providers.

"Digital is now an integral part of everyone's life," said founder and head trainer Milad Saadati. "Being a digital part of the customer journey will significantly improve its experience and extend it globally".
