Anthony Lusardi, the director of Ethereum Classic [ETC] Cooperative, spoke about how the sign is overlooked and obscured by Ethereum [ETH] and Bitcoin [BTC]. In an interview with Crypto Insider, he also mentioned how it is not possible to build sizable dApps with current blockchain technology.
Lusardi explained how the ETC is overlooked when it comes to the Ethereum killer talk or building the next big platform to host dApps and provide a decentralized platform. He said that although Ethereum and Ethereum Classic had a success and a long history of operations, people usually neglected Ethereum Classic and went straight to Ethereum and Bitcoin because they were the best performing cryptocurrencies by market capitalization and even by volume.
He has declared:
"And so when you're a new entry like Tezos that simply copies an ETC or EOS source code where it is, the third dysfunctional Byte Masters project, you end up in a situation where all they want is to attack Ethereum."
Lusardi also explained that they faced these problems because they had no support in the early days and lacked resources to overcome the race.
According to Lusardi, they are looking for sidechains for scalability problems, which are practical and usable without compromise. He said that the best solution for scalability is to use sidechains while maintaining the small and decentralized main blockchain. Unlike Ethereum, which promised sharing, Casper PoS etc., to achieve scalability.
"So we are largely taking the side chain approach in terms of downsizing because it is not possible to get decentralization levels and no permissions by climbing the chain, but on the sidechain you can trade-off but you still have the main chain . "
In addition, Lusardi explained how boring and not the right time to build dApps that could be the next Google or Facebook, and that there was no blockchain that is able to do the same now.
"I think the thing is that people will learn in the next five or ten years is exactly when to use completely decentralized networks and when to use something else."
