Many regions, including the capitals London and Liverpool, were included in the “medium threat” group, the second of the three risk levels identified. 21 regions, including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Lancashire, Leicester, Lincolnshire, Slough, Bristol, Kent, Medway and Chesterfield, will be part of the third group where the outbreak is seen as a “high threat” and measures will be implemented more stringent.
According to the Turkish BBC news, there are only three regions in the first group where the epidemic threat has been seen lowest since December 3: Isle of Wight, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, where no cases have been recorded in the past week. The risk groups were redefined, taking into account the number of cases per population and the rate of spread of the virus.

Of the four regions that make up the UK, the list of risk groups that will apply to the UK and what measures will apply in which region was posted on the official government website.
As the scope of the measures varies from region to region and based on previous classifications, people will be able to enter their postcodes when in doubt and see which measures have been implemented in their region.
British Health Minister Matt Hancock, while providing information to the House of Commons, “Hope has appeared on the horizon, but we still have a long way to go. Therefore, we should all be well prepared ”.
“We should see these measures not as the limits of what we can do, but as the limits that public health councils think we can act with confidence,” Hancock said.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson will announce the details to the public at a press conference.
WHAT ARE THE THREE RISK GROUPS?
The measures announced in three regions broken down by risk levels, mainly considering the coronavirus spread rate and the number of cases related to the population, differ in how many people can meet in which places.
First zone / Low risk group: A maximum of 6 people will be able to gather in indoor and outdoor locations that fall into this group with the lowest threat level.
Second zone / Medium risk group: In these regions, people from different families cannot meet indoors, but a maximum of 6 people can meet outdoors.
Third zone / highest risk group: A maximum of 6 people from different families will be able to meet outdoors in these regions where the threat is at its highest level.
Services such as sports facilities, beauty salons, barbers and hairdressers will be available in all regions. But anyone who can work from home will be asked to stay home again.
The new system imposes stricter rules on places like restaurants and bars than in the previous period and these measures cover more regions than before. The system will be constantly revised and the risk bands of the regions may change before Christmas. The first evaluation will take place on December 16th.
HOW ARE THE REGIONS DIVIDED?
Decisions on the classification of regions and which region falls into which category were made on the basis of scientific recommendations based on public health data. Factors considered include the intensity of cases over the age of 60 in the regions, the pressure on national health services and the rapidity with which the number of cases is decreasing and increasing. In the third, high-risk areas, tests will be applied that give results in 20 minutes without the need for a laboratory.
The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) Test Follow-Up Task Force and the military will also be able to support the widespread testing program. These are the new rules for England in the UK. In turn, the autonomous administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will declare and continue to implement their coronavirus measures as they have done so far. But all four of the UK countries agreed to implement a joint package of measures at Christmas.
