Ugur Sahin, 55, one of the Turkish scientists behind the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine in collaboration with BioNTech, surprised by bold statements.
The billionaire scientist, who worked on the vaccine with his wife, Oezlem Tuereci, 53, says he expects the vaccine to “wipe out the virus” and could even end the pandemic.

The scientist also says he is confident the treatment will work because it attacks the virus on various levels.
