The daughter of US President Ivanka Trump was asked about funding her father’s inauguration ceremony nearly four years ago.
This emerges from court documents that news channel CNN released on Tuesday. As a result, the poll took place on Tuesday, details were initially unknown. The court document also shows that Donald Trump’s wife Melania had already received an official request for documents in early October.
The case goes back to a lawsuit filed by the Washington District of Columbia Attorney General against the inauguration organizers and the Trump Organization in January of this year. In it, he accuses them of directing more than a million dollars in unjustified payments to the Trump Hotel in the US capital. The money came from donations for the inauguration in January 2017. Trump’s side denies the allegations.
