Current US President Donald Trump fires the head of the Department of Homeland Security’s cyber security agency. Christopher Krebs’ claim that the presidential election was not manipulated was “highly inaccurate,” Trump tweeted. He had received praise from both Democrats and Republicans for his handling of the US elections, which generally went well, despite persistent fears that foreign hackers might try to influence the election.
The ire of Trump and his team, according to cancer sources, have attracted a website run by CISA called “Rumor Control” which exposes misinformation about the election. White House officials are said to have urged the site to edit or delete content exposing false claims surrounding the election, such as that Democrats are behind a massive election fraud scheme, as Trump claims.
The Reuters report sparked a wave of support from security experts across the country, who praised Krebs for his bipartisan work over the past two years.
Trump recently fired Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, most recently replacing other executives at the Pentagon.
The current president of the United States still refuses to admit an electoral defeat and the victory of his rival Joe Biden. He has filed lawsuits in several states. His campaign team had alleged election fraud and voting irregularities. Experts don’t expect causes to have any chance of success.
