Both politicians are currently acting with extreme caution and at this interim stage obviously neither of them want to make a mistake. Trump’s refusal to acknowledge the election outcome is a sensitive issue for her.
On the one hand, they will know all too well that Trump’s attempts to defy the election have virtually no chance of success. You also encounter misunderstandings between many party friends and voters. On the other hand, they need to make it clear that they will continue to support Trump. At least for now.
