“It’s over, now I feel good”, says Margareta Kranjcec (99) of the Croatian daily “Vecernji list”. The elderly elderly woman lives in a nursing home in the city of Karlovac – and has just survived a crown infection!
At the end of October Margareta was hospitalized as a precautionary measure after a positive corona test.
Several residents of his home had contracted the corona virus. Margareta Kranjcec, who had no previous serious illness, fortunately showed almost no symptoms. After a good three weeks, she was released from the clinic.

“Given her frailty and her old age, it is really surprising that the coronavirus was unable to harm her,” says Stefica Ljubic Mlinac, director of the nursing home. In the midst of the pandemic, “this is really good news”.
With its 4.2 million inhabitants, Croatia has recorded nearly 140,000 coronavirus infections so far. Nearly 2,000 people have died from the virus in the Balkan country.
