To date, on November 19, 393,851 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania. 269,590 patients were declared cured. Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 10,108 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) have been registered, being cases that have not previously had a positive test “, reveals the data broadcast on Thursday.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality and of the counties of Bucharest. The contagion rate in Bucharest is 5.66 per thousand inhabitants. However, four counties surpassed the 6 per thousand index (Alba, Braşov, Ilfov and Timiş counties respectively), while Cluj exceeded 7 per thousand inhabitants. The county of Sibiu reached 9.06 per thousand inhabitants.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, following the re-examination of already positive patients, 1,334 people were positively reconfirmed. The distribution by counties of these cases can be found in the table below.
To date, 9,596 people have died diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 infection.
Between 18.11.2020 (10:00) – 19.11.2020 (10:00) 167 deaths (91 men and 76 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Braşov, Buzău, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Dolj, Galaţi, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedini, Mureş, Neamţ, Oltami, Teaşleaorman, Ilica and Bucharest.
Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the 30-39 age group, 8 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 13 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 41 deaths in the 60- 69 age group, 59 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 44 deaths in the over 80 category.
160 of the deaths recorded concerned some patients with comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 3 patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.
In health care units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,447. Of these, 1,131 are hospitalized at ATI.
To date, 3,808,279 tests have been processed nationwide, of which 36,963 in the last 24 hours, 20,954 based on case definition and medical protocol and 16,009 on request.
In the last 24 hours, 5,552 calls were recorded to the single emergency number 112 and 734 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), mainly open to inform citizens.
Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 18 of this year, 7,450 penalties for minor crimes, equal to 1,262,965 lei.
In addition, yesterday 5 crimes were ascertained through the competent police structures to combat the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects.
As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,863 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,935 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.
Of the confirmed Romanian citizens infected with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
