CORONAVIRUS Romania. New record of patients hospitalized in serious condition in intensive care. 168 people have died in the past 24 hours

The authorities sent a new worrying report on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania on Wednesday 25 November 2020. In the last 24 hours, 9,739 new cases and 163 deaths have been recorded. 1,205 patients are hospitalized at ATI.

Since the start of the pandemic to date, 440,344 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania.

313,885 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, they were recorded 9,739 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2

More than 10,500 deaths since the start of the pandemic

To date, 10,541 people have died diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 infection.

Between 24.11.2020 (10:00) – 25.11.2020 (10:00) 168 deaths were reported (99 men and 69 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arges, Arad, Bacau, Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Braila, Brasov, Buzau, Caras-Severin, Constanta, Dambovita, Dolj, Galati, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomita, Iasi, Maramures, Mehedinti, Neamt, Olt, Prahova, Salaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timis, Tulcea, Valcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were registered in the 30-39 age group, 4 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 17 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 38 deaths in the 60-69 age group, 49 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 57 deaths in the over 80 category.

157 of the deaths recorded concern some patients with comorbidities, 3 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 8 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,402. Of these, 1,205 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 3,974,996 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 35,575 were performed in the past 24 hours, 22,524 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 13,051 on request.

In Romania, 43,867 people confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus are in home isolation and 12,561 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 68,701 people are in quarantine at home and there are 15 people in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 5,223 calls were recorded to the single emergency number 112 and 713 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), mainly open to inform citizens.


Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and counter the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on 24 November this year, 6,831 fines, equal to 1,263,365 lei.
Furthermore, through the competent police structures, 2 crimes were ascertained yesterday to combat the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects.

As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,875 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,935 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the United States, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo , Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.
Among Romanian citizens confirmed with novel coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Coronavirus pandemic record in Romania

The highest number of new cases was reported on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. GCS reported no less than 10,269 infections in 24 hours.

Most of the ATI patients were registered on November 16. 1,187 Romanians were in intensive care at that time.

The largest number of deaths was broadcast on 11 November (203).

To date, more than 1.4 million people have died from the coronavirus.
