Coronavirus Romania. List of the most severely affected areas in the country due to the epidemic. Alarming situation in Bucharest and in five counties

Until Saturday 21 November, 412,808 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed on the Romanian territory. 287,310 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out nationwide, compared to the last report, 9,685 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) have been recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases is found in the table below.

Between 20.11.2020 (10:00) – 21.11.2020 (10:00) 160 deaths (98 men and 62 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Arges, Bacau, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Braila, Brasov, Buzau, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Constanta, Covasna, Dambovita, Dolj, Galati, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomita, Iasi, Maramures, Mures, Neamt, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare , Sibiu, Salaj, Teleorman, Timis, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the 20-29 age group, 3 deaths in the 30-39 age group, 6 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 16 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 39 deaths in the 60-69 age group, 60 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 35 deaths in the over 80 age group.

151 of the deaths recorded concern some patients with comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 5 deceased patients no comorbidity has been reported so far.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,294. Of these, 1,132 are hospitalized at ATI.

The situation in the counties regarding new SARS-CoV-2 infections

Bucharest remains at the top of the infections, with 1,168 cases registered in the last 24 hours. Counties on top of infections: Brasov – 508 cases, Constanta – 483 cases, Iasi – 458, Timis – 443, Cluj – 424.
