Coronavirus Romania. Infection rate greater than 34%. Nearly 150 people have died in the past 24 hours

According to the report sent by the authorities on Sunday 29 November 2020, 5,554 new cases of COVID-19 and 148 deaths caused by the disease have been recorded in the last 24 hours. 1,250 patients are hospitalized in the Intensive Care Units.

16,225 tests were performed, which means a positive rate of 34.2%.

To date, 4,097,782 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 16,225 were performed in the past 24 hours, 9,877 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 6,348 on request. The positive rate according to these data exceeds 30%.

From the beginning of the pandemic to today, 471,536 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have occurred in Romania.

348,852 patients were declared cured.

Aside from recently confirmed cases, following retesting of already positive patients, 787 people were positively reconfirmed.

148 deaths in 24 hours

To date, 11,193 people have died diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 infection.


Between 28.11.2020 (10:00) – 29.11.2020 (10:00) 148 deaths (86 men and 62 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus were reported, admitted to the hospitals of Alba, Arges, Arad, Bacau, Bistrita-Nasaud, Bihor, Botosani, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Cluj, Constanta, Dolj, Harghita, Ialomita, Iasi, Maramures, Mehedinti, Mures, Neamt, Prahova, Salaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timis, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the 10-19 age group, 1 death in the 30-39 age group, 5 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 11 deaths in the 50- age group. 59 years, 31 deaths in the age group 60-69, 67 deaths in the age group 70-79 and 32 deaths in the category over 80 years.

147 of the deaths recorded concerned some patients with comorbidities and 1 deceased patient did not have comorbidities.

In health care units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,200. Of these, 1,250 are hospitalized at ATI.

On the Romanian territory, 48,541 people confirmed with new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 11,978 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 69,194 people are quarantined at home and there are 68 people in institutionalized quarantine.
