To date, on 9 November, 306,991 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania. 206,793 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 3,240 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) have been recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
130 dead
Aside from the recently confirmed cases, following the re-examination of already positive patients, 991 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 8,009 people have died diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 infection.
Between 8.11.2020 (10:00) – 09.11.2020 (10:00) 130 deaths were reported (72 men and 58 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Arges, Bacau, Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Brasov, Constanta, Dambovita, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Iasi, Maramures, Mehedinti, Neamt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timis, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the 0-9 age group, 2 deaths in the 30-39 age group, 6 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 24 deaths in the 50 age group -59 years, 26 deaths in the age category 60-69, 45 deaths in the age category 70-79 and 26 deaths in the category over 80 years.
127 of the deaths recorded concerned some patients with comorbidities and 3 deceased patients did not have comorbidities.
1,076 people are hospitalized at ATI
In the health units of the profile, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,688. Of these, 1,076 are hospitalized at ATI.
To date, 3,488,090 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 11,445 were performed in the past 24 hours, 7,286 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 4,159 on request.
On the Romanian territory, 41,024 people confirmed with new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 24,762 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 72,980 people are quarantined at home and there are 19 people in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,738 calls were recorded to the single emergency number 112.
Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and counter the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes have applied, in the last 24 hours, 8,487 fines, for an amount of 1,455,795 lei.
Furthermore, through the competent police structures, 2 crimes were ascertained yesterday to combat the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.
The authorities remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has activated, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the local structures for the verification of the notified aspects.
As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,862 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the United States, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.
Among Romanian citizens confirmed with novel coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
