Coronavirus Romania, November 7 – COVID-19 report
To date, on 7 November, 296,999 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed on the territory of Romania. 201,114 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 9,937 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) have been registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, following the re-examination of already positive patients, 1,424 people were positively reconfirmed.

COVID-19 Romania. How many deaths have been reported
To date, 7,793 people have died diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 infection.
Between 06.11.2020 (10:00) – 07.11.2020 (10:00), 130 deaths (86 men and 44 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Braşov, Buzău, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Covasna, Gorj, Harghita, Iaşi, Mehedinţi, Mureş, Neamţa, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Vibiu, Simiâ and Bucharest.
Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the 30-39 age group, 4 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 11 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 39 deaths in the 60- 69 age group, 31 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 42 deaths in the over 80 age group.
122 of the deaths recorded are of some patients with comorbidities, 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 5 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.
Coronavirus – Romania. The situation of people admitted to intensive care (ATI)
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,113. Of these, 1,048 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 3,455,093 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 36,202 were performed in the past 24 hours, 20,612 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 15,590 on request.
Furthermore, from the latest information provided by GCS, the results of 646 tests processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until 7 November were reported.
In Romania, 39,505 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 24,181 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 69,846 people are in home quarantine and 19 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 4,472 calls have been recorded to the single emergency number 112 and 882 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), which is mainly open for information to citizens.
Yesterday was an all-time record of COVID-19 cases reported in Romania. Due to the increase in the number of diseases with the new coronavirus, but also to prevent excessive saturation of the ICUs and to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the authorities have announced new measures.

Between 05.11.2020 (10:00) and 06.11.2020 (10:00) they were reported 123 dead (69 men and 54 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Brăila, Braşov, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Galaţi, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Mureş, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiş, Tulcea, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea.
- Of these, one death was recorded in the 20-29 age group, 2 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 13 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 36 deaths in the 60- 69 age group, 36 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 35 deaths in the over 80 category.
- 119 of the deaths recorded concern some patients with comorbidities and for 4 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.
To date, 3,418,245 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 38,389 were performed in the last 24 hours, 21,568 based on case definition and medical protocol and 16,830 upon request.
Furthermore, from the latest information provided by GCS, the results of 238 tests processed before the last 24 hours and broadcast until November 6th were reported.
On the territory of Romania, 40,615 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at homeand 10,186 people are in institutionalized isolation. Also, 66,563 people are quarantined at homeand 14 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 4,535 calls have been recorded to the unique emergency numbers 112 and 918 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), mainly open to inform citizens.
Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and counter the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes have applied, in the last 24 hours, 8,334 penalties for minor crimes, for an amount of 1,057,005 lei.
Furthermore, through the competent police structures, it was found, yesterday, 7 crimes to counter disease control, deed envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.
- Of the Romanian citizens confirmed infected with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

As of 5 November 2020, 8,261,087 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the UK, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in Spain, France, the UK, Italy and Germany.
