No private celebrations until Christmas, masking of requirements in schools and restrictions on private meetings in public: Chancellor Merkel wants to discuss tightening measures with the prime ministers of federal states on Monday.

If the German federal government has its way, the measures should be strengthened.
-
This emerges from a draft that Chancellor Merkel wants to discuss on Monday with the prime ministers of the federal states.
-
Among other things, no private celebration should be possible until Christmas.
In the fight against the Crown crisis, the German government proposes to further tighten contacts and quarantine restrictions. In a draft resolution for the videoconference between Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) with the Prime Minister of the Federal States on Sunday evening available to the German news agency on Sunday evening, it is said that children and young people should be encouraged to speak only with a boyfriend to meet in his spare time. Private gatherings with friends and acquaintances should generally be limited to a single permanent family.
According to the federal government, meetings in public should only be allowed with members of one’s own family and a maximum of two people from another family. Private parties should initially be avoided completely until Christmas. As of November 2nd, only members of your family and one other family can be in public, but no more than 10 people.
Discounted masks for those at risk
In the future, you should also go straight home to quarantine with any cold symptoms, especially cough and runny nose. In schools, the use of mouth and nose guards should be made mandatory for students of all ages and for teachers on school premises and during classes.
Under the will of the federal government to protect themselves from the coronavirus, people at particular risk such as the elderly and the sick should receive discounted FFP2 masks from December onwards. In order to reduce the risk of infection, the federal government will allow this population group to sell 15 of these masks for a small fee, according to the draft resolution. Mathematically, this translates to a winter week mask. The federal government will bear the costs.
Difficult months await us
On Monday, two weeks after the November partial blockade goes into effect, Chancellor Merkel and the prime ministers of the federal states will hold a meeting. Merkel had already prepared citizens on Saturday for more difficult months.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), health authorities reported 16,947 new corona infections in Germany on Sunday within a day. The number of new infections within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants was 140.4 on Friday.
