During the trial, a judge will ask authorities in Chatham County, where Democrats dominate, to “secure” and file the ballots received after 7pm local time on election day.

According to the plaintiff, one employee added ballot papers received in the mail that had not been “adequately processed” than others, causing concern that some ballots received after 7pm could be confused.

In Georgia, all ballots must be received by 7pm on election day to be counted. The two US presidential candidates have not yet claimed victory in the state of Georgia.
