On Friday, Cardinal Baltazar Porras will deliver to the Vatican a dossier with evidence of the case of miraculous healing through the intercession of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández in San Fernando de Apure, a case that would carry forward the beatification of Venezuela.

The document collects the testimonies, medical and theological evidence certified by the Ecclesiastical Court constituted in that State and which is expected to receive from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints of the Vatican City, in Rome.

The miracle happened in the village of Manga Covera, San Fernando de Apure to the girl Yaxuri Ortega, 13, who recovered from a gunshot to the head; although he had lost a lot of blood, encephalic mass and many bones.

The child recovered satisfactorily after constant prayers and devotion of his family by the Venerable, today he lives and witnesses the miracle, according to regional media.

Dr. José Gregorio Hernández was declared venerable 33 years ago, and to date, after constant efforts in favor of his cause, thousands of parishioners hope that this is the concrete proof to elevate it to San José Gregorio Hernández.

In the process, the Holy See will examine the Cardinal's report and, if it proceeds, will dictate the decree Nihil Obstat, in which, officially, he informs the diocesan authorities that he has asked to start the canonical process.

Obtained the decree of Nihil obstat, the diocesan Bishop dictates the decree introducing the cause of the now Servant of God.
