Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, spoke with Biden and his team about how to deal with the virus, the president-elect said in an interview on CNN.
“I asked him to remain in the same position he held with past presidents and I asked him to also be a medical advisor to me and be part of the covid team,” Biden added.
