When authorities in the US state of Utah released photos of the mysterious desert monolith on Monday, they hid the exact location. The metal structure is in a remote location and it was feared that adventurous tourists might get lost in the desert.
But they did the math without the internet – it took less than two days for a user to post the exact location of the monolith on Reddit. He wrote the following comment: “Don’t ask me how I found it. I’m just good at finding things. “
The first selfies with the monolith are now appearing: US Army veteran David Surber said he drove six hours in his car all night to post the first selfie.
