Austria: Storch builds a nest on the restaurant, 5 pregnant waitresses

Is this just a coincidence? Or is the story of the stork carrying babies true? Since a couple of storks built their nest on the roof of an inn in Freistadt (Austria) in the spring, five maids have become pregnant.

Two of the five women can already hold their babies in their arms. The maid Luzie is the proud mother of her daughter Amelly, Nadine gave birth to little Leonie. With Monica, Silvia and Kerstin the offspring has just arrived, but the wait is great. Brauhaus head presenter Helmut Satzinger views the whole thing with mixed feelings.

Although he is pleased with his ladies: “Losing five waitresses in a very short time is a huge blow. Been there for years. But I’ve never seen anything like it. From now on the stork will be banned from flying, ”he says with a wink.

In addition to working with offspring with his staff, the stork couple’s family planning is tough.

After the old chimney on the roof of the Freistadt brewery municipality was closed eight years ago, it actually only serves as a symbol of the brewery. It was a surprise that the fireplace was literally brought back to life in the spring when the nest was built.

“At first we didn’t even think that birds would be able to build a nest on the smooth surface,” says Satzinger. For storks, however, there is still not enough for the happiness of the big child. “There was even a stork expert on site. The stork couple was probably still too young and inexperienced, ”continued Satzinger.
