Alibaba's exploration of blockchain technology has gone further, after announcing that the cloud computing arm Alibaba Cloud has officially launched its blockchain service, reported Yicai.com.
According to Yi Li, senior computer engineer and head of The Business Blockchain of the company, after extensive research, he now believes that blockchain will be the "next most reliable infrastructure" for the Internet.
Yi states that cloud computing has led to a revolution in productivity and that blockchain will drive innovation in production services.
Yi Li said the blockchain service boasts flexible computing and massive storage capacity and secure network interconnections based on a stable public cloud and private cloud.
It was also reported that Alibaba Cloud's blockchain technology has been widely used in business scenarios such as supply chain finance and data asset transaction management.
And Arlier, Jack Ma, founder and president of Alibaba, emphasized that intelligent manufacturing, the Internet of Things and blockchain are the three key technologies of the future.
