Al-Alamiah and its partners through the International Humanitarian City, which includes the largest humanitarian aid warehouses, to relocate over 80 % of the organization’s medical and health aid in more than 98 countries around the world and to provide the supplies needed to fight the Coronavirus during the first third of this year.
His Highness commended the efforts of His Excellency Al-Othaimeen in launching the joint urgent initiative of the organization and the Islamic Solidarity Fund, and the efforts of the Islamic Development Bank in establishing a strategic preparedness and response center to help the Member States most vulnerable to mitigating the negative effects of this virus on health, social and economic levels.
His Highness indicated the importance of working diligently to address the pandemic by reaching a ceasefire in all conflict areas in the Islamic world and urged all warring parties to stop hostilities and work towards resolving differences through dialogue. and other peaceful means to find solutions to these conflicts.
In addition, His Highness said in his message to His Excellency the Secretary General of the League of Arab States: “The world today is living in difficult circumstances and times due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid-19), which caused the infection of more than three million people and more than 228,000 deaths worldwide, and has caused severe damage to the labor, health, economic, commercial and financial sectors in various parts of the world … which requires that all we join hands and unite all regional and international efforts to combat this dangerous epidemic.

In his message, His Highness said he shares His Excellency Aboul Gheit’s opinion that the time has come for arms to silence and stop the conflicts until we face the pandemic, and that the Arab world is now in dire need. of the value of a common collective action.
His Highness indicated that there is an urgent need to study the implications of the Corona epidemic crisis on the Arab world in the future and how to activate joint Arab action to address its challenges, and the need to work on the development of proactive strategies and joint plans that improve countries’ capacities, particularly in the area of ​​food security, in a way that helps maintain supply chains. Trade is open and the promotion and development of joint efforts in the health and pharmaceutical sector, including the activation of the Arab Health and Environment Strategy and the Strategic Guidelines for Action (2017-2030) which have been approved at the summit level in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2018.
