Ua Singaporean woman who was pregnant when she became infected with Covid-19, onwards March, she gave birth to a child not with the disease, but with antibodies.
The mother revealed to Singapore’s Straits Times newspaper, quoted by Al Jazira, to which doctors believe he transferred antibodies Covid-19 for the baby during pregnancy. Ng-Chan had mild symptoms of the disease but was hospitalized for two and a half weeks.
According to the World Health Organization it is still unclear whether a woman infected with Covid-19 can transmit the virus to the baby during pregnancy or delivery. To date, writes Al Jazira, the virus active it has not yet been found in a blood sample from babies in uterus or breast milk.
