A group of soldiers ignored Nicolás Maduro on Wednesday through a video broadcast on the "UCI News" channel.
"We do not know Nicolás Maduro Moros as president of Venezuela and as commander in chief of the FANB. In addition, we warn the international community of the usurpation of the Presidency of the Republic, "they said in the channel.
In this sense, they recognized Juan Guaidó, president of the National Assembly, as interim president of Venezuela. "We support the decisions that, under the Constitution, they decide to adopt for the restoration of constitutional order," they said.
They also made a call to everyone components of the Armed Forces who do not continue to be "subjugated and used by criminals" and stressed that the duty of the military is to contribute to the restoration of the validity of the Magna Carta in an apolitical way.
"Order the commander in chief, we are under your orders", they condemned.
