LIVE | Another 67 deaths and 5,444 new cases of covid-19 were recorded

A further 5,444 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic to 285,838. In the same period, 67 deaths from covid-19 were recorded. In total, 4,276 people have died as a result of covid-19 in Portugal. The number of hospitalized has increased again, 3,208 are infected in hospitals (16 more than the day before), of which 526 (10 more than Thursday) in intensive care units, a new high since the beginning of the pandemic.
