(CNN) – Pennsylvania and Nevada certified the results of the 2020 general election on Tuesday. The two key states formally awarded the election victory to President-elect Joe Biden.
CNN had previously picked Biden as the winner in both Pennsylvania, where he led with over 81,000 votes, and Nevada, where Biden won with more than 33,000 votes, according to the Secretary of State.
“Today @PAStateDept certified the results of the November 3 election in Pennsylvania for US President and Vice President. As required by federal law, I signed the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris voter list verification certificate. ” wrote Governor Tom Wolf in a Twitter post.
Wolf thanked the election officials for their work.
“Once again I want to thank the election officials who administered free and fair elections during an incredibly difficult period in the history of our Commonwealth and the country. Our survey workers were constantly attacked and performed admirably and honorably, “added Wolf.

The certification of grades in Pennsylvania came after all 67 counties in the state certified the district’s results to Commonwealth Secretary Kathy Boockvar.
Boockvar said that the counties presented their presidential voting totals on Monday evening.
Appearing before the Nevada Supreme Court on Tuesday morning, Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske officially certified the results of the 2020 Nevada general election. Cegavske, a Republican, did not verbally acknowledge Biden as the winner of the presidential race. The Supreme Court of Nevada signed the ballot for each county before the official certification of the results.
States are expected to certify their results by December 8, before the constituency meeting on December 14.
The certifications this Tuesday followed a dramatic meeting Monday of the Michigan State Electoral Council, which also voted to certify the results of Biden’s election after one of the two members of the Republican council chose to abstain.
This determined the state of the formal transition procedures by the Federal Administration of General Services.
