In the last 24 hours there have been 7,753 new cases of COVID-19, out of 30,740 tests. The death toll is rising, another 196 Romanians have died after being infected with the coronavirus. A new record of COVID patients admitted to ATI. In the last 24 hours, their number reached 1,204.
To date, on November 24, 430,605 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania.
304,188 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 7,753 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) have been registered, being cases that previously had not had a positive test.
Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the re-examination of patients who were already positive, 1,253 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 10,373 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Between 23.11.2020 (10:00) – 24.11.2020 (10:00), 196 deaths (129 men and 67 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iainți, Tuleafures Teleșlarest .
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the 0-9 age group, 8 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 28 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 47 deaths in the 60 age group -69 years, 61 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 51 deaths in the over 80 category.
184 of the recorded deaths concerned some patients with comorbidities, 9 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 3 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.
In health care units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,667. Of these, 1,204 are hospitalized at ATI.
To date, 3,939,421 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 30,740 were performed in the past 24 hours, 19,069 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 11,671 on request.
On the Romanian territory, 46,501 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 12,688 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 79,304 people are quarantined at home and 13 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 6,062 calls were recorded to the single emergency number 112 and 1,047 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open mainly to inform citizens.
Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 23 this year, 6,979 penalties for minor crimes, equal to 1,240,813 lei.
In addition, yesterday 5 crimes were ascertained through the competent police structures to combat the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified problems.
As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,864 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,935 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
