Um airliner britanica British Airways, deposited at the airport of Castellón, near Valencia, Spain, caught fire this Monday morning. The causes of the accident have yet to be determined and there are no casualties or injuries to report.
The images subsequently published on social networks show a thick black smoke coming out of the cockpit of the plane. It’s a Boeing 747 – and one of 31 aircraft the company has withdrawn from service, in August this year, after 25 years of flying.
According to the media britanicos, the plane was sold by British Airways to a new owner who plans to dismantle it.
On Twitter, Castellón he said the firefighters “worked together to put out a fire in a plane”, adding that “there are no injuries to cry” and that the fire “has been confined”.
In to update, already in the afternoon, he wrote that “the emergency linked to a fire in a plane destined for dismantling ended at 15:51”.
