The strategic communications group announced the number of Romanians infected with the new coronavirus.
Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 9,685 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) have been recorded, being cases that previously had not had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, following the re-examination of already positive patients, 1,362 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 9,916 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 20.11.2020 (10:00) – 21.11.2020 (10:00) 160 deaths (98 men and 62 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus were reported, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Hargedohita, Hunomiș, hospitals Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Sălaj, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the 20-29 age group, 3 deaths in the 30-39 age group, 6 deaths in the 40-49 age group, 16 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 39 deaths in the 60-69 age group, 60 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 35 deaths in the over 80 age group.
151 of the deaths recorded are of some patients with comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 5 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.
In health care units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,294. Of these, 1,132 are hospitalized at ATI.
To date, 3,877,953 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 33,221 were performed in the past 24 hours, 20,387 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 12,834 on request.
In Romania, 47,048 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in home isolation and 13,663 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 77,333 people are in home quarantine and 16 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
