German police arrested a math teacher suspected of killing her lover in Berlin. The victim’s bones, which disappeared two months ago, lead authorities to suspect cannibalism.
The bones were found two weeks ago in a park north of Berlin, Germany. Experts have identified the remains as belonging to Stefan T, who has been missing for two months.
“The bones were completely clean of the flesh,” says the German press. Additionally, other indications have led authorities to suspect that Stean T, 44, was a victim of cannibalism.
The suspect in the crime is a math teacher, identified as Stefan R, 41. He has already been arrested by the German police, who usually do not reveal the nicknames of victims or suspects while criminal investigations are ongoing.
The suspect, Stefan R, “visited relevant online chat rooms on the Internet,” German officials said. The German media compared the case to that of Armin Meiwes, a cannibal sentenced to life in prison in 2006.
According to the data revealed at the time, Meiwes met the victim in a “chat” of people interested in cannibalism. He filmed the murder of a 43-year-old man who he killed for sexual pleasure.
