A story that moves people.

Raiden Gonzalez is only four years old and is the protagonist of a story that can make anyone’s heart tremble. The boy lost his parents to covid-19 just 100 days away and now says he “wants to be an angel”, just like them.

Raiden, who lives in the US state of Texas, celebrates his fifth birthday on Thursday, November 28 and, speaking on CNN, his great-aunt, Margie Bryant, shared her story.

Raiden’s 33-year-old father died in June from covid-19. In October, Mariah, his mother, ended up not resisting the virus. The aunt, who is now taking care of the baby, said she said she wanted to be “an angel” like her parents.

“It’s sad to hear him say this, but he says, ‘My father is an angel in heaven, he’s in the clouds’, and that’s how he recorded [o que aconteceu] in his mind whenever people ask, “he said.” She’s so smart, “she added, revealing that she was the one who broke the news of her mother’s death to the boy.

“I told him, ‘The reason you haven’t seen Mom in the last few days is because Mom got very ill and is now an angel in heaven too,’ and she was inconsolable,” she said. “I said, ‘I want to be an angel in the clouds with my mom and dad,'” she recalled.

The family is now preparing a dinosaur-themed car show for the child’s birthday, which should count on the help of local firefighters, motorcycle clubs and others who have made available to give Raiden a different birthday. .
