Additionally, two restaurant employees were infected. The infections weren’t noticed quickly enough. A close relative of a wedding guest carries the virus to a care facility about 160 kilometers from the wedding venue.
Infections in care facilities and prisons
The person has clear symptoms and continues to work. In the care facility, it not only infects several employees, but also 24 residents. Three are hospitalized, a total of six of the infected residents die.
Another wedding guest transports the virus to a prison some 320 kilometers away. This infected person also goes to work despite the symptoms. He and three employees received positive test results. The virus is subsequently detected in a total of 18 out of 43 employees. Another 48 prisoners are infected.
177 infected, seven dead
The sad balance of this marriage with 55 guests: a total of 177 infections, seven hospitalizations and a total of seven deaths, which US authorities link to marriage. None of the deceased was a guest at the wedding.
