British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is going into self-isolation – again.
A Johnson spokesman said he had contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19.
“He will continue to work on Downing Street and lead the government’s action in the coronavirus pandemic,” a statement from his office said. But he is fine and has no symptoms of Covid-19, he said.
Johnson met with a small group of lawmakers for about half an hour Thursday, including one who tested positive later.
Johnson only tested positive for the new corona virus at the end of March. His serious illness and his transfer to the intensive care unit in the midst of the Corona crisis had shocked Britain.
According to the British Prime Minister, doctors at the hospital were already preparing to announce his death. Johnson told Sun on Sunday after his illness: “It was a difficult time, I don’t want to deny it. They had a strategy to deal with a scenario like the death of Stalin (former Soviet dictator; ed). ”
He was aware that there were contingency plans: “The doctors had taken all possible precautions, what to do if something goes wrong.”
