The researchers randomly tested 10,156 primary and high school students, as well as asymptomatic teachers from 243 schools across the country, between September 28 and October 22, using the gargle test method.

Only 40 of them were carriers of the virus, equivalent to a prevalence of 0.39%. Among students, the infection rate was 0.37 percent, compared to 0.57 percent for adults in schools, too small a difference to be significant, according to the study.
