The best universities in Latin America, according to the QS ranking for 2021

From Colombian universities
They appear in the top ten in Latin America for the year 2021, according to the list of the British company specializing in QS education.

The University of Los Andes is the first in Colombia, in sixth place, with 95 points. It is followed by the National University of Colombia, which is in tenth place, with 86.2 points.

Out of the top ten, the University of Antioquia is in 13th place, but it is positioned with respect to the list of the best projected for 2020: it is evaluated with 80.83 points.

In 18 appears the Universidad Pontificia Javeriana, with 75.14, which loses two positions, as it appeared in 16.

The University of Rosario, with 61.94 points, is located in 40, that of La Sabana in 48, with 54.60, and that of Valle in 50, with 53.78.

QS considered eight different indicators to develop the ranking of the best universities in Latin America.

Each represents a percentage of the overall academic reputation score, which was 30 percent of the score; employability of graduates, with 20 per cent; citations per article, 10 percent; teacher-student ratio, 10 percent; staff with a doctorate, 10 per cent; international research network, 10 per cent; investigative production, 5% and web presence, 5%.
