Kushner and his wife Ivanka Trump are officially the president’s advisors. “Axios” quoted an unnamed source as saying that “unpleasant conversations” were taking place in Trump’s orbit and that his closest circle had canceled the election victory – but Trump continued to insist on winning.
Trump receives party support
Influential conservatives, meanwhile, have supported Trump. “President Trump shouldn’t give in,” Senator Lindsey Graham said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday. “This is a controversial choice. The media does not decide who becomes president. If they did, there would never be a Republican president,” Graham said. Trump has to go to court.
Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, also told Fox News that “at this point” it would be wrong for the president to admit defeat. There is evidence that elections were “stolen” in at least three or four and possibly ten states. Giuliani has announced several lawsuits. Giuliani called it “very likely” that the Supreme Court will decide in the end. Senator Ted Cruz said he believed there was “a way to victory” for Trump.
Trump hasn’t appeared in public since his election defeat, but on Sunday he went to his golf club in Virginia. Meanwhile, his campaign team continued to solicit donations for lawsuits by emailing supporters. However, in small print on the donation page on the Internet, it says that much of the funds raised must be used to spend the campaign debt.
