On Saturday afternoon, a Venezuelan delegation led by Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza arrived on Bolivian soil to attend the inauguration of President Luis Arce.
The Farnesina reported through its Twitter account that in the name of the president, Nicolás Maduro, the Foreign Minister Arreaza and a delegation arrived in La Paz, Bolivia, to witness the assumption of the mandate which will take place tomorrow Sunday.
Similarly, the foreign ministry of the pluri-national state of Bolivia pointed out in the aforementioned social network, that a presidential commission for the transmission of command received the delegation of the government of Venezuela led by the minister of people’s power for foreign relations, Jorge Arreaza, International Airport of the city of El Alto.
Presidents and regional organizations will meet this Sunday for the transfer of power of the elected government in Bolivia.
Representatives of the Andean Community and the Mercosur Parliament will support the inauguration of the elected president, Luis Arce, and his vice president, David Choquehuanca, along with official delegations from 10 countries, according to the official program of the Transitional Commission, Prensa Latina reported.
The actions of the handover protocol will begin at 07:00 local time on that day, through the traditional offering of k’oa al Pachamama in the center of Plaza Murillo, and will consist of a civic-military parade.
Delegations from around 40 countries attending the events will meet at 9:00 local time at the Legislative Assembly headquarters, where the elected President and Vice President will be inaugurated.
The solemn opening session of that parliamentary body will be at 10:00 local time, and forty minutes later the inauguration ceremony will take place, the source said.
The program also includes a show in the hall of the Casa Grande del Pueblo, where the formal greeting and the official photograph of the event will take place.
The ceremony will end with a lunch offered by President Arce to the heads of state, their delegations and guests and with a popular parade, with indigenous folk dances representing each of the Bolivian departments.
According to press reports, the de facto authorities are turning their backs on these and other official activities of the elected executive, whose Arce-Choquehuanca formula swept away the general elections on 18 October with over 55 percent of the vote.
The outgoing president of the Senate, Eva Copa, on November 3, formalized the invitation to the act of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on the occasion of the inauguration of his newly elected counterpart, Luis Arce.
