African leaders meet in Addis to examine the political and security situation in the DRC

African heads of state and government met today in the capital of Ethiopia
Addis Ababa to review the political and security situation in
Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Dr Abiy Ahmed, current president of the UAE
Rwanda president Paul Kagame, South African president Cyril
Ramaphosa, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and president of UAE
The Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat is present at the summit

In his first observation at the summit the African Union got under way
the headquarters, Paul Kagame, declared the efforts made to find the African
solutions for African problems is important to prevent foreigners
interference.

The crisis occurred in the Democratic Republic of the Congo following the
the presidential elections of December 30, 2018 should be resolved by
institutions authorized in the country, said Kagame.

Despite an invitation from the UA, the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Joseph Kabila is
unable to attend the meeting due to the current situation in the country.
However, he is ready to accept if the African Union is approaching
solutions, he said.

President of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat,
for his part he said that today's meeting was called with the intent to find a
viable solution that is aimed at all interested parties involved in the DRC
situation.
