Users
of the open source development community of Ethereum have been tentatively agreed
implement a new algorithm that blocks ASICs or blocks specialized pending mining hardware
test on a proposed code.

Code
the change is dubbed "ProgPoW" and if it is accepted by users running the ETH
software, it will block ASICs like those
produced by important mining companies like Bitmain. The new software in its place would do it
allow GPU or general purpose hardware that is normally deleted by the ASICs
compete on the platform for the prizes.
ASIC
they were developed for the first time by Ethereum in April of last year. According to the Bitmain
press release, the Ethereum ASIC mine minus the traditional GPU miners a

implies that unless the developers occur unexpectedly
problems with the update, ProgPow would be
released as a stand-alone system
upgrade or forca lasts in about two or four months. Apart from this update there will be no other changes to the software
ProgPow.
The update of Constantinople is active

comes at a time when the fifth major update of the platform is Constantinople
near the activation. Parity's release manager, Afri Schoedon, spoke at
