The real winner of the presidential election has been clear for some time: the turnout. Over 66% of Americans eligible to vote are expected to have voted – that would be the highest turnout in more than a century! In 1900, 73.7 percent cast their vote, however, the number of those eligible to vote was also much lower because women were not allowed to vote at that time.
