In four states, a decision on Tuesday’s US presidential election is still pending. There, as in other states, election officials continued to count votes on Monday. There have been minor changes in the majority. Overall, Democratic candidate Joe Biden was chosen as the winner of the election, with a total of 279 votes for the December election meeting. 270 of these voters are sufficient for the majority.
GEORGIA: The state in the southeast has 16 votes for the electoral assembly. Biden led by a margin of 10,621 votes on Monday. With a whopping 98% of the votes counted, that means 49.5% for Biden and 49.3% for incumbent President Donald Trump. In view of the very close result, the government of this US state has already announced that the votes will be counted.
NORTH CAROLINA: East coast state sends 15 voters. Here Trump was leading by 75,421 votes after Biden was leading at the start of the tally. After counting around 98% of the votes, Trump came up with 50.0%. Biden had 48.6 percent.
ARIZONAThere are 11 voters in the state in the southwestern United States. Biden continued to lead just ahead of Trump. Biden’s net lead at the start of the tally was reduced to 17,131 votes. With this tally of around 98%, Biden had a 49.5% stake, ahead of Trump with 48.9%. AP news agency and Fox broadcaster had already announced a decision for Biden in Arizona on election night, but other media were reluctant.
ALASKA: In the sparsely populated state in the far northwest of the US, three votes must be cast in the electoral assembly. With around 52% of the votes counted, Trump had a clear lead of around 54,600 votes. The incumbent represented 62.2% and Biden 33.6%.
