The first polling stations in the US closed more than 24 hours ago, but it is still unclear who will rule the country as president in the future. Results are not yet available from all states. Democratic challenger Joe Biden, however, was confident.
“We believe we will be the winners when the vote count is over,” Biden said in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. “It is clear that we will win enough states to get 270 electoral votes.” But it’s still too early to announce a win, the challenger said, even if he’s actually close to the goal.
The achievements of two key states recently contributed to the turning point in the race for the White House. In both Michigan and Wisconsin, Biden narrowly prevailed over Donald Trump, who is desperately trying to take legal action against the counts (follow all developments in the live ticker).

In Wisconsin only 20,000 votes separate Biden and Trump. Biden got 49.4% of the vote there, Trump 48.4%. Wisconsin has 10 electoral votes in Electoral College. Since the benefit is less than one percent in Wisconsin, you can request a recount. Trump’s team announced they would do it.
