UA 13-year-old girl was forced to marry a 48-year-old man in the Philippines.
Images of the event, which took place on 22 October, in the city of Mamasapano, shows the groom caressing and kissing his bride.
The girl, whose identity is not revealed, becomes the fifth woman in Abdulrzak Ampatuan, a man who even has children the age of his new wife. The groom, however, didn’t bother marrying a baby.
“I’m happy to have found her and to be able to spend the rest of my days with her, taking care of my children,” he said, according to Mirror.
The man also revealed that he intends to have children with his new wife when he turns 20. She has also guaranteed that he will pay her to study until she reaches her mother’s age.
It should be noted that in some parts of the Philippines, especially the predominantly Muslim region of Mindanao, a minor is allowed to marry until she reaches puberty marked by menstruation.
