It’s incredible! 101-year-old Grandma Maria Orsingher has beaten the coronavirus again – for the third time! The lively older woman never lets herself down, keeps fighting and remains undefeated to this day.
As the “Milano Corriere” writes, Maria Orsingher was born in 1919 in Ardenno (I) not far from the Swiss border. He has never had any serious illnesses. In 2014 she moved to a retirement home, safe and sound. But then fate met her: in the spring she tested positive for coronavirus.
“The test left no doubts, it had Covid. But mom was fine, ”says her daughter Ines. From that moment she took care of her mother together with her sisters Carla, Delfina and Rita.
First infection finished, second coming
Maria Orsingher was cured and passed the crown infection. The daughters thought the worst was over. But in September the coronavirus struck again: Orsingher had a fever – the second corona infection! This time she had to be hospitalized, where she spent 18 days.
Doctors called relatives every day expressing their amazement for the super-elderly: small and fragile in appearance, but with an iron character. He didn’t even have any breathing problems. Even the 101-year-old managed to get away with the second infection!
Science cannot explain the strength of this woman
The nursing home called back in late October. Daughter Ines was shocked: “You said my mother tested positive again on all patients – this time completely asymptomatic, in good condition and, as always, indomitable. We couldn’t all believe it. ”Not even science can explain the strength of this indomitable woman.
Happy ending: Maria Orsingher defeated the corona virus for the third time. The first thing she wants after being released from the hospital: saffron risotto and a good portion of polenta. Ines says: “You have never lacked your appetite.” The relatives now hope to be able to hug Maria again, because they have not been allowed to see her for two months. (myi)
