The Thai Democratic Party would be the first player in the voting system to use blockchain technology for a live electronic vote. According to the resources, Zcoin Blockchain will implement the electronic voting system from 1 to 9 November.

Vote via Cryptography

Members during the elections can vote in two ways: voting system based on Raspberry Pi, which is a national voting system and then uses the blockchain application. As a result, the decentralized D-Elect app allows voters to send their photo ID as proof. Furthermore, members must present identification documents and voting votes.

So the process follows as;

  • This information or set of voting data will be processed and stored on a decentralized file system
  • This distributed mechanism will create IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) hashes that store a huge amount of data
  • Subsequently, these IPFS hashes were archived on Zcoin's blockchain technology.
  • Zcoin's blockchain provides unchecked access to the Thai Electoral Commission and candidates for democratic parties.

Poramin Insom, the developer of Zcoin, said in a statement

I am very proud that Zcoin played a role in making Thailand's first large-scale electronic vote, a reality that saw greater voter participation and transparency.

In addition, to ensure security during the voting system, Shamir's Secret Sharing Scheme has been implemented that requires more keys to access any attack. The scheme would require more custodians to decipher the voting data sets that were a great success to block applications for the electoral system. Not only Thailand, but also West Virginia was considered a country in which to use app blockchain for the mid-term federal elections for testing purposes.

Cryptocurrency and ICO in which the regulators of the main countries sprout the red light, while the blockchain technology, on the other hand, aims at signaling the green. Poramin Insom, founder and lead developer of Zcoin, intends to use blockchain technology also through large-scale electronic voting.
