The MIT Entrepreneurship Forum in the Arab World launched the 14th digital edition of the MIT Forum Arab Startup Competition, inviting Arab entrepreneurs from all sectors to submit applications to enter via the website of the annual competition, the oldest of its kind in the region MENA, specifically designed to support Arab innovations.

The competition is organized in collaboration with “Community Jameel”, the global charity that manages various initiatives aimed at creating positive change in society and achieving economic sustainability, in collaboration with the MIT Entrepreneurship Forum with “Zain Group”, a leading company in the digital innovation sectors in the Middle East and Africa. As a strategic digital partner, for 14 years, the competition has awarded cash prizes worth over $ 1.28 million to winning entrepreneurs and a platform to present and implement their ideas.

Entries opened on August 29 on the competition’s official website, and will continue until December 15, 2020, and the organizers will conduct a series of introductory and promotional tours that introduce entrepreneurs to the competition and help them with their inquiries, and interested parties can register for the next introductory series which will take place on the For Contest website when it is announced.

The MIT Forum Arab Startup Competition has turned into an annual appointment awaited by thousands of young entrepreneurs from the Arab world, who consider it a platform that allows them to present, test and develop their creative ideas, and every year the competition takes place on three tracks; Idea Track, Startup Track and Social Entrepreneurship Track.

The contest awards cash prizes totaling $ 160,000, as the semi-finalists participate in a variety of preparatory activities that include training sessions, mentoring sessions and workshops. In the final stages of the competition, the jury will select 9 final winners (3 teams for each track).
