The Russian side said domestic biotechnology company GL Rapha has decided to produce “Putnik V”, a Corona 19 vaccine developed by Russia itself in Korea.

Russian sovereign wealth fund RDIF, which supported vaccine development, said Zelapa has decided to produce 150 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine per year.

Production will begin next month and export to the global market in January next year, RDIF introduced.

GILAPA is a national company specializing in the production and export of pharmaceutical products and medical devices.

Russia appears to be trying to boost confidence in its vaccines through cooperation with a Korean company that is setting the global example by responding to Corona 19.

Sputnik V is a vaccine developed by the Gamalea National Center for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology under the Russian Ministry of Health.

In August, the Russian government officially approved the vaccine for the first time in the world and released it to the public.

However, unlike the normal vaccine approval procedure, concerns about efficacy and safety have been raised by approving immediately after completing phases 1 and 2 without conducting phase 3 (phase 3) clinical trials.

Russia only conducts phase 3 tests after official approval and is also vaccinating high-risk groups such as medical staff and teachers.

Russia plans to produce products for export to India, Brazil, China and Korea.
