The KOSPI broke through the 2,700 line for the first time ever.

Today (4th), KOSPI closed the market at 2,731.45, up 1.31% from yesterday, and set a new all-time high for four consecutive days since last Tuesday.

The rise was also led by foreigners today.

Individuals and institutions net sold KRW 346 billion and KRW 410 billion, respectively, while foreigners bought KRW 765.6 billion, leading the index rise.

As the index rose, the reported stocks came out one after the other.

Specifically, as recovery expectations in the semiconductor industry rose, Samsung Electronics increased 2.58% to 71,500 won and SK Hynix increased 3.14% to 115,000 won.

The KOSDAQ index also rose 0.68% to 913.76, breaking above the 900 line for two consecutive days.

This rise in the domestic stock market is due to the dollar continuing to weaken due to the anticipation of a large-scale fiscal stimulus package from the United States and money is pouring into emerging markets such as Korea.

As COVID-19 vaccines have been developed in various countries around the world, rising expectations are fueling economic recovery.

Meanwhile, the won-dollar exchange rate is falling without knowing the end.

Today (4th), the won-dollar exchange rate in Seoul’s foreign exchange market closed at 1,082.1 won, down 14.9 won from yesterday, showing the lowest level in two years and six months.

So far, the Ministry of Economy has handed it over. ([email protected])
