XYO and FedEx are collaborating on the progress of localization technology, just in time for Christmas shopping
There are few other companies that have the performance and widespread attention that FedEx has. FedEx is responsible for employing almost half a million workers worldwide and does not lose a deadline without a natural disaster or a federal issue on their way. They even have meteorologists available to help them with 14-day weather forecasts to ensure that the items are delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible. Having real-time data for their positions is crucial to their success. After all, 14 million packages are not shipped every day without being at the top of their game.
XYO saw this necessary piece of the puzzle as an opportunity to get involved.
As they wrote in their Medium blog,
"We believe our position data would be an exceptional additive to the FedEx delivery platform, which our position data can only improve a hyper-advanced system that the delivery giant uses to redirect drivers when the roads freeze. Stamford and the storms burst Boeing 757 pilots when it snows in Dallas. "
This is how their new FedEx Institute of Technology program was born.
At the moment, there are 14 places available for companies to be completed in FedEx al University of Memphis. The role of XYO will be "develop – and present –FedEx Leadership on how our blockchain localization data can improve their delivery platform, logistics systems and more. "The platform will be directly involved with FedEx executives and decision-makers to determine"how XYO technology can become FedEx technology".
The announcement of the partnership was also posted on Twitter by XYO, who said,
"Who loves a @FedEx box on the doorstep? Or better yet, safely arrived at their home? WE DO! We are working with @FedexInstitute because it's time to stop the logistics with the LEADER world in delivery!"
